Honeywell – LPG Stabilizer Unit
Matrix PDM Engineering partnered with UOP Russell to provide project management, multi-discipline project engineering, procurement, and fabrication services for the 3-D design and fabricated modules for this LPG Stabilizer unit. The stabilizer unit is part of a natural gas processing facility in Vietnam designed to produce liquid fuel and commercial grade natural gas. The stabilizer utilized a feedstock of natural gas liquids sourced from a de-ethanizer process.
The NGL stream is processed in a stabilizer column to produce LPG and C5 plus product. The LPG product is quality monitored with in-line analyzers and then transferred to either long term storage or to off-spec storage tanks where it was re-worked and blended back to the front end of the process.
The C5 product is re-injected back into the natural gas by-product stream to enhance the BTU content and produce pipeline-quality natural gas. The process unit was designed with two multi-level process modules that were fabricated and assembled at the shop, tested, and broken down into shipping splits for overseas transportation.
