Matrix PDM Engineering provided project management, procurement technical support, construction management, site engineering, and pre-commissioning and commissioning services for the construction of the new terminal.
The facility includes two storage tanks, a dock with one berth each for barge and ship loading/receiving, truck loading/receiving with design to allow for future expansion, main pump station with manifolds, safety vacuum/pressure valves and gauging, substation with emergency prime power plant, fire water pumping station, oily water separator, oil heating system, and potable and sewage water treatment plants. Additionally, the facility has ancillary buildings for administration, lab and warehousing.
Matrix PDM provided services with personnel out of the U.S. and the local organization. Other services also provided included engineering and design for the hot oil system and complete facility automation and programming.
By coupling bulk liquid handling and project management expertise with in-country site personnel, Matrix PDM was able to provide Grupo Coremar and Zenith Energy a reliable and trusted consultant to help provide better oversight and control of the project outcome.
