Kinder Morgan – Rockies Express Pipeline

Location: Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio

Matrix PDM Engineering was part of the project team selected to develop, program and commission multiple natural gas compressor stations and units for the Rockies Express Pipeline.

A key part of Matrix PDM’s role was to develop and implement industry standard automation control systems and software for the pipeline stations and units.

Matrix PDM’s staff worked to improve the efficiency of the natural gas compressor station and unit automation projects. Utilizing in-house simulations and Factory Acceptance Tests (F.A.T.) on programming software and panels, the project team was able to eliminate potential problems that could occur during/after installation and accelerate project momentum.

The automation standards facilitated ease of operations so personnel are familiar with station controls and programs from one station to the next.
