Paul Wurth – Gas Cleaning Plant Design

Matrix PDM Engineering provided piping and structural engineering design services for a gas cleaning plant to be installed by Paul Wurth. The original project scope consisted of developing orthographic piping drawings and structural steel drawings for the scrubber and demister areas of the plant.

Once the project was underway, it was determined that further services were necessary. Matrix PDM was able to provide additional support and expand the project scope including specifications, drawing revisions, additional detail designs, and review and correction drawings. Additional work also resulted from two recirculation pumps being changed, modifications to P&ID after piping design started, and ASTI changes, including supports, stand pipe and removal of the lake water line.
